From Tracie Dunn: I was told by my Great Aunt that my Grandfather Frank purchased his farm from a widowed Aunt of his whose children had moved away and were not interested
in the farm. The farm is located next to his families homestead which his older brother Carl inherited from their Dad.
My Grandmother Fern told me that a man named Boyd died in the upstairs bedroom. This man was a war hero and that the Civil War sniper guns located in the attic belonged to him. She said that Mr. Boyd had lived with his daughter-inlaw until he died.
If the above information is correct, Grandpa Easdale purchased his farm from Hugh Alexander Easdale's widow, Mary Jane (Boyd) whose father was named Robert Boyd. The 1880 Cencus backs up the fact that Mr. Boyd lived with his daughter Mary Jane & Hugh Alexander.
